That is an interesting question. New Media represents the advance in technology of the various forms of existing media. It is the revolutionizing of the way we are able to communicate, interact and simply live our lives.
New Media eliminates geographical barriers (except in China), political barriers (again not in China) as well as social barriers.
According to Webopedia, New Media is a generic term for the many different forms of electronic communication that are made possible through the use of computer technology. The term is in relation to “old” media forms, such as print newspapers and magazines, that are static representations of text and graphics.
Examples include website, online communities,e-mail, chat rooms, mobile computing, web advertising.
New Media is definitely changing the way we do things.

Wiki-edit
Ok so I finally did my assignment to edit a Wiki post. I found one mistake and made a correction to a word, no great accomplishment but it satisfied the requirement.
As I sit here though I am beffuddled as to how to get the link....I am not in the least bit tech savvy, I can buy a great pair of shoes but cannot figure out how to post a link.
I will keep trying. It has to work somehow.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Breakdance#cite_note-11
Maybe that is it, who knows. Good luck figuring out the part that I made a correction to.
To make it easy it is under the heading Dance Techniques and it is the 2nd paragraph. I changed the word abble to dabble. Ha, I got mad skillz
I was watching a Break-dance show on MTV and I was fascinated with the transition of B-dancing into mainstream culture and I googled the history and came across the Wikipedia article.
I didn't see too much that I could edit but I found the mis-spelling and fixed that.

Career goals and current occupation
I currently work for Wachovia as the manager for the tellers and assistant to the Branch manager. Pretty much I am in charge of the tellers, regular manager stuff, and solving customer problems when the Branch manager is not around.
I am in the Cuny BA program which means I am fortunate enough to design my own major and to take whatever classes I want at any CUNY school.
There are two fields that I am interested in and those are Marketing and PR so I decided to do a double major in Marketing Management and Publicity and Media Management (this one I made up).
I am really fascinated by Marketing so that is the field I am more inclined to go in but I want to do some event planning and publicity work also.
As far as professional titles go, I have no clue what I will be. I am going with the flow and see where I end up.
